Overview:
The Lists Sharing feature in SMSWiser allows different accounts to share lists with each other, facilitating collaboration and data utilisation without compromising privacy. This feature enables users to create and share lists and clicker-based lists while ensuring that the actual lead information remains confidential. It supports better targeting and maximises the potential of SMS marketing campaigns.
Business Need:
Sharing lists between accounts can enhance targeting capabilities and increase the effectiveness of SMS campaigns. It allows data providers to monetise their lists while data recipients can leverage new leads without direct access to the underlying data. This collaborative approach can significantly improve marketing outcomes and profitability for all parties involved.
How It Works:
1. List Sharing Agreement:
- When one client shares a list with another, they typically agree on a profit-sharing arrangement. The most common agreement is a 50/50 split, meaning that the profit generated from this list will be divided equally between the data provider and the data recipient.
2. Data Privacy and Security:
- When an SMSWiser account uses a shared list, it cannot see the actual leads behind that list. This means the data recipient can use placeholders like first name, last name, etc., in their messages but cannot see the full generated SMS texts. This ensures that the data remains private and secure, preventing misuse.
- Data protection is a top priority for SMSWiser, ensuring that lead information is kept confidential and only utilised for its intended purpose.
3. Creating and Sharing Clicker-Based Lists:
- If a list recipient wants to retarget clickers from an initial sendout, the list owner can create a clickers list based on the shared list. This clickers list will be automatically shared with the SMSWiser account that generated the clicks.
- This functionality allows for effective retargeting, ensuring that campaigns can continuously engage with interested leads.
4. Data Ownership and Profit Allocation:
- Data protection works both ways: the data recipient cannot see the leads’ data or the full generated messages, while the list owner cannot capitalise on the clicks/conversions generated from the shared list by the recipient.
- The leads remain the property of the data owner, while the clicks and conversions belong to the account that generated them through their sendouts.
5. Multiple Recipients:
- One list can be shared with multiple recipients simultaneously. The data protection mechanisms ensure that all stakeholders’ interests are safeguarded.
- Each recipient benefits from the shared data without compromising the confidentiality of the lead information.
6. Stopping List Sharing:
- The list owner has the discretion to stop sharing a list at any time. Once sharing is stopped, the list becomes unavailable for use by the recipients.
Example Scenario:
Imagine you are a data provider with a list of high-quality leads. You share this list with several marketing partners on SMSWiser under a 50/50 profit-sharing agreement. Your partners use the list for their SMS campaigns without seeing the actual lead data, ensuring the privacy of your contacts. They generate clicks and conversions, and you both share the profits equally. If any partner wants to retarget the clickers, you can create a clickers list and automatically share it with them. This collaboration maximises the potential of your data while maintaining strict data protection standards.
Benefits:
- Enhanced Targeting: Shared lists enable better targeting and more effective marketing campaigns.
- Data Privacy: The data recipient cannot access the lead information, ensuring confidentiality and preventing misuse.
- Collaborative Profit Sharing: Profits from shared lists are divided fairly, benefiting both data providers and recipients.
- Effective Retargeting: Clickers lists allow for continuous engagement with interested leads, enhancing campaign performance.
- Flexible Sharing: Lists can be shared with multiple recipients, and sharing can be stopped at any time by the list owner.
By leveraging the Lists Sharing feature in SMSWiser, you can collaborate with other accounts, maximise the value of your data, and enhance the effectiveness of your SMS marketing campaigns while ensuring that lead information remains confidential and secure.
